How the tools are designed to handle your files
The image tools are being built to process files locally in your browser, so an image you choose is not meant to be uploaded to a server. This page will state that again on each tool page when it is released, together with its limits, such as supported formats, maximum file size and which browsers can create WebP files.
Converting or compressing an image in the browser re-encodes it, which normally removes embedded metadata such as camera details. Keep your original file.
